National Environmental & Natural Resources Attorneys Introduction:

Environmental and Natural Resources Law Attorneys practice within the large realm of environmental law. Federal Environmental law consists of rules and regulations set up to protect the natural environment from various types of human impact. This includes rules regarding acceptable amounts of pollution, the use and disposal of hazardous materials as well as the demolition of buildings containing these materials, hunting and fishing regulations, protection of endangered species, and possible punishments for violations of environmental laws.

Types of cases an environmental law attorney might deal with could include lawsuits involving victims of exposure to lead paint or asbestos in poor living or working conditions. Another example would be a lawsuit against a coal burning plant that’s pollution has caused respiratory problems among people who live near it. Personal injury cases are common, but are not the only type of cases an Environmental Law Attorneys may encounter. Lawsuits involving the protection of animals and the natural environment are also common. For example, a lawsuit based on whether or not an oil company can drill in a certain area because it would be hazardous to the animals in that area would also be a type of case they would handle.
