Game Show Host Removed From Lawsuit

The long standing host of a game show has been removed from a lawsuit that was filed by a former employee on the game show. The lawsuit was filed by a former employee from the Price is Right, claiming that she was wrongfully terminated from her position. However, whilst she had named the host of the show Bob Barker as a defendant his name was removed by the judge, who said that Barker was not her boss.

A number of claims against Barker were dismissed from the lawsuit by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Malcolm H. Mackey earlier this week, and the judge went on to state that because Barker was not the plaintiff’s boss he could not be sued for wrongful termination.

The plaintiff’s attorney can make amendments to the lawsuit claiming that Barker caused his client distress in connection with the termination, but for the time being these claims have been dismissed.

The plaintiff, Deborah Curling, was a production assistant on the show, and had worked there for around twenty four years. She claims that she was demoted from her job after she testified against Barker in another wrongful termination lawsuit filed by another former production assistant.
