Man Told To ‘Hang Out’ In Aeroplane Toilet Files Lawsuit

A man has filed a two million dollar lawsuit after claiming that he was made to give up his seat on the flight for a flight attendant and then told to go and ‘hang out’ in the toilet cubicle, where he said he remained for around three hours even during turbulence.

The plaintiff had been flying on the low cost airline, Jet Blue, traveling from San Diego to New York, which is a five hour flight. He claims that he was forced to spend three hours of this in the tiny toilet cubicle, terrified as he had to travel through turbulence with no seatbelt.

The lawsuit claims that he plaintiff experienced both extreme humiliation and ‘tremendous fear’. He was travelling on a ‘buddy pass’ which is a scheme that allows the friends of airline employees to travel on standby.

Whilst he was allowed to travel because a flight attendant agreed to use on of the jump seats, he was later told that the attendant wanted the regular seat back, and was directed to the toilet cubicle. He was even told by the pilot that he should be grateful for being on board and left in the toilet, according to reports.
