Jackson Faces Legal Action by Son of King

Prince of Pop, Michael Jackson, has found himself at the centre of legal action once again, but this time in relation to claims that he was paid for some work that he never delivered. The claim comes from the son of the King of Bahrain, Sheikh Abdulla Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa.

He claims that Jackson was paid over four and a half million dollars, and that he built a studio for the singer. This was in exchange for two albums, an auto-biography, and a stage show. He claims that Jackson was also given a one hundred and eighty thousand pound Rolls Royce as part of the deal.

However, the Sheikh says that whilst the singer took the car and the money as payment he never actually delivered the goods. According to reports, however, Jackson has described the car and money as gifts, even though the Sheikh said that he was going to use the proceeds of the project to recoup the money that he had to advance the star.

A claim has now be filed in the courts, but many officials believe that the claim will be settled before the case goes to trial. The star and the Sheikh are said to have been close, and reports claim that there were even discussions about Jackson leaving his California ranch for Bahrain to “continue their musical collaboration in a more conducive environment”.
