TASER Removed From Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Electronics specialist, TASER International, has been removed from a wrongful death lawsuit by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern District. The removal came after the court granted a motion by the plaintiff to remove the company from the lawsuit.
An official from TASER stated: “We are gratified that the plaintiff in this lawsuit voluntarily moved the court to dismiss TASER International from this litigation. TASER International produces products that have been scientifically proven to be generally safe and effective. Once the emotions are removed and the scientific facts are presented, it is extremely difficult to prove otherwise.”
This is the seventieth case in which TASER has either won a case or has had a case against it dismissed. Some of the cases include those where it was cheaper for the firm to settle out of court than to go through costly litigation.
TASER, the maker of stun guns, has not had to part with any money for the case to be dismissed.
